Despite all of the odds being against quail surviving and reproducing in the wild, here we have them! Thanks to a season of unmowed grass, Robert found this couple happily nesting and thriving near the ranch's lodge. Patches of 5-feet high grass in some areas surely helps.
The take-away: think before you mow, people, think. #againstallodds #nomomowing
