If

In the wake of this COVID-19 pandemic, please know we love and are praying for all of you. At the risk of being mushy, which I often am, I am sharing my prayer journal entry today, my prayer for all, including myself. May the peace of Christ, which passes all understanding, guard your hearts and minds this day and always . . .

If

If we are to be a distracted neighbor, then, LORD, let it be by your Beauty ever near and glowing all around us in the speech and songs of nature.

If we are to be a fearful child, then, LORD, let it be in stunned awe of Your unfathomable power and in the steadfast  understanding that Your Love will pursue us at all costs if we stray or deny You the pleasure of resting our weary souls in Your ready arms to receive it.

If we are to be laden with illness or suffering of any kind, seen or unseen, then, our LORD, Father of all, may we humbly rejoice to enjoin it to Christ’s suffering on the Cross to be used as You will, and may we trust more fully as we remember that You always have and always will somehow work all things for good in the end.

Jesus, may we
trust in Your
living mercies,
that they already
have overcome
the troubles of this world!

Amen
